About
I’m a PhD candidate at the American University School of Communication. Right now, I’m actively writing my dissertation and am engaged on other research projects. I also teach the introductory Understanding Media class for AU undergrads as an adjunct instructor.
Before academia, I spent nearly two decades in industry; law for seven years and, more recently, in marketing and communications as an executive ghostwriter and strategist for orgs in telecom, healthcare, philanthropy. In the middle of all that, I also snagged my masters degree in digital media communications from the University of Washington.
In my spare time, I have chaired the community advisory board for Cascade Public Media in Seattle, rocked out on percussion with a community orchestra in Seattle, and am actively engaged as a room parent for my kiddos’ preschool.
I’ve also written or contributed to a few things recently, with more on the way in ‘25-’26.
